Fries are an intrinsic part of Belgian culture, just like chocolate, monk beer, and waffles. You can find fritkots on almost every street, and on a cold rainy day (as it often the case in Belgium), a cone filled with hot, crispy fries may just bring the only ray of sunshine to your day.
What’s the secret of our delicious fries?
They are fried twice!
The first frying is in low temperature oil, where the fries are cooked through but not browned; then, they are removed from the fryer, drained and allowed to cool. The second frying is at a higher temperature for a few minutes. The result is a perfect golden fry, creamy on the inside, crisp on the outside.
We start with high quality, fresh -not frozen!- Kennebec potatoes, they are peeled and washed to remove impurities. No additives, no chemicals, no coatings, just fresh, gluten free potatoes. The most important part, though, is that we cook your order as you wait and because of this, you are always guaranteed a hot and delicious treat. We serve them in the traditional paper cone, and you can enjoy them with a variety of dipping sauces: ketchup, mayo, malt vinegar or our homemade garlic Aioli sauce.
